Job summary

Sharp and Carter is seeking a Finance Manager to lead monthly reporting for multiple entities and mentor a junior team member. You will own the month-end close, coordinate with auditors, and drive process improvements.

The role reports to the CFO, requiring a CA/CPA qualification and a hands-on, collaborative approach to support a growing national business in Queensland.

Qualifications

• Qualified CA or CPA (or nearing completion).
• Experience in a medium sized business or larger.
• Hands-on attitude with good attention to detail.
• Proactive communicator who thrives working collaboratively.

Responsibilities

• Own the month end reporting cycle, including journals, accruals, reconciliations, etc.
• Oversee the year end and relationship with auditors, plus BAS, GST, FBT, etc.
• Assist with system and process improvements.
• Partner with the CFO and operational teams to support the business.

The Role

Reporting into the CFO, you will be responsible for the monthly reporting for the various entities, whilst managing 1 junior team member.

Key Responsibilities:

• Own the month end reporting cycle, includingjournals, accruals, recs etc
• Oversee the year end and relationship with the auditors, plus BAS, GST, FBT etc
• Help with any system & process improvements
• Work closely with the CFO and help with the broader operational teams in a business partnering capacity.

About You:

• Qualified: CA or CPA designation (or nearing completion).
• Experienced: Proven track record within a medium sized business (or larger).
