Job summary

Ausgrid in Sydney's Haymarket is seeking a qualified financial controller to manage month-end, intercompany transactions and statutory reporting. You will support the Financial Control team, prepare monthly reports and assist with half-year and annual statements in a large corporate environment.

The role suits a CPA/CA with 3–5 years post-qualification experience, strong knowledge of Australian Accounting Standards, and proficiency in ONESOURCE OSR, SAP and Excel. 12-month fixed-term contract.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance/Business, Commerce or related field.
Qualified CPA/ CA with 3–5 years post-qualification experience in financial accounting and reporting.
Strong knowledge of Australian Accounting Standards and corporate finance controls.
Experience with ONESOURCE OSR or similar reporting platform highly regarded.
Experience with SAP, TM1/SAP BI and advanced Excel.

Responsibilities

Prepare and perform month-end accounting activities including journals, accruals and provisions.
Manage intercompany transactions, reconciliations, and consolidation.
Perform general ledger reconciliations and investigate variances.
Partner with Finance and stakeholders to ensure accurate financial reporting.
Analyse results and provide commentary on movements and trends.
Streamline month-end processes to support timely financial statements.
