Swissport in Mascot, NSW, seeks a Financial Accountant to oversee daily financial operations, support Finance Managers with month-end processes, and ensure compliance with reporting standards in a fast-paced aviation services environment.

You will handle journal entries, GL reconciliations, tax compliance (GST/BAS/payroll tax), asset depreciation, and audit support while identifying opportunities to streamline accounting processes.

Qualifikationen

• Experience in financial reporting, journal entries and ledger reconciliation.
• Proven ability to manage month-end and year-end processes with accuracy.
• Familiarity with GST, BAS submissions and payroll tax reporting.
• Experience maintaining Fixed Asset Registers and depreciation.
• Experience supporting audits and providing financial documentation.
• Ability to identify and implement process improvements.
• Strong Excel skills (PivotTables, VLOOKUP) and cross-functional collaboration.

Your profile

• Proven experience in financial reporting, journal entry processing, and general ledger reconciliation.
• Experience managing end-of-month and year-end accounting processes.
• Familiarity with tax compliance, including GST, BAS submissions, and payroll tax reporting.
• Previous experience maintaining and reconciling Fixed Asset Registers and calculating asset depreciation.
• Prior experience supporting or leading audit processes and providing financial documentation.
• Experience identifying and implementing process improvements to enhance efficiency.
• Strong background in using accounting software and Microsoft Excel (intermediate skills, including VLOOKUPs and PivotTables).
• Accounting degree or qualifications, or experience working toward completing a relevant qualification.
• Proven ability to work with cross-functional teams and manage competing priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
