Job summary

Swissport International AG, based in Mascot, NSW, is seeking a Financial Accountant to oversee daily financial operations, support finance managers with end-of-month processes, and ensure compliance with reporting standards.

You will identify opportunities to streamline processes and provide valuable financial insights to drive strategic decisions in a dynamic aviation services environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in financial reporting and journal entry processing.
• Experience managing end-of-month and year-end processes.
• Familiarity with GST, BAS and payroll tax reporting.
• Experience maintaining Fixed Asset Registers and calculating depreciation.
• Experience supporting or leading audit processes and providing financial documentation.
• Ability to identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Processing journal entries and reconciling general ledger accounts.
• Conducting variance analysis to support strategic decision-making.
• Managing end-of-month and year-end processes, including tax compliance.
• Handling GST, BAS submissions, and payroll tax payments.
• Maintaining and reconciling the Fixed Asset Register and calculating depreciation.
• Supporting audit processes by providing accurate financial documentation.
• Identifying opportunities to streamline accounting processes and improve efficiencies.
