Job summary

Internationalinsuranceprofessionals in Melbourne is seeking a hands-on Financial Accountant to join its finance team. The role offers broad exposure across financial and management accounting, month-end, statutory compliance, AP/AR and payroll support.

You will own key accounting activities while identifying opportunities to streamline processes and work with the wider team to maintain accurate records and support audits.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Manage month-end and year-end processes, including journals, reconciliations and reporting.
• Complete bank reconciliations and fixed asset accounting.
• Oversee day-to-day AP and AR processes and ledger reconciliations.
• Support payroll activities including PAYG tax and superannuation.
• Assist with BAS and FBT returns.
• Maintain accurate financial records and support external audit requirements.
• Identify opportunities to improve and streamline finance processes.

Your new company

An established Melbourne-based organisation is seeking an experienced Financial Accountant to join its finance team. This is a hands-on role offering broad exposure across financial and management accounting, month-end, statutory compliance, AP/AR and payroll support.

Working closely with the wider finance team, you'll take ownership of key accounting activities while also having the opportunity to identify process improvements and streamline existing ways of working.

Your new role

• 5+ years' financial accounting experience
• CPA/CA qualification or near qualified
• Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
