Job summary

National Pharmacies in Australia is seeking an experienced Accounts Payable specialist to manage supplier invoices, PO matching and timely payments. You will handle weekly and monthly payment runs and maintain creditor records in our finance system.

YOUR MISSION

• Process and manage supplier invoices, ensuring accurate coding, purchase order matching, and timely entry into the finance system.
• Deliver efficient end-to-end accounts payable services, supporting the accurate and on-time payment of suppliers across the business.
• Prepare and coordinate weekly and monthly payment runs while maintaining accurate creditor records and account information.
• Assist with month-end activities, including account reconciliations and ensuring financial records are complete and accurate.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to streamline processes and enhance Accounts Payable performance.
• Provide high-quality administrative support, liaising closely with suppliers and internal employees to resolve invoice mismatches and maintain strong working relationships.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING

• AP Experience: demonstrated experience in an Accounts Payable position, with strong knowledge of invoice processing, purchase order matching, and supplier account management.
• Accuracy & Volume: proven ability to accurately process high volumes of transactions whilst maintaining exceptional attention to detail and data integrity.
• Process Know-How: experience preparing payment runs, reconciling accounts, and supporting month-end financial processes in a busy environment.
• Systems & Excel: strong computer literacy, with confidence using ERP or accounting systems and intermediate Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel.
• Problem-Solving: well-developed analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to investigate discrepancies and resolve issues efficiently.
• Communication: confident liaising with suppliers, branch teams, and internal stakeholders to resolve queries professionally and efficiently.
