Job summary

National Pharmacies, a proud South Australian icon, seeks a Finance Support Officer to own end-to-end accounts payable activities, working with suppliers and internal teams to ensure accurate invoicing and timely payments. You will bring solid AP experience while adapting to our Optical suppliers and broader AP coverage as required.

Qualifications

• AP experience in invoice processing and supplier account management.
• Strong attention to detail with high-volume transaction handling.
• Experience with payment runs, reconciliations and month-end support.
• Proficient in ERP/accounting software and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Process and manage supplier invoices with coding and PO matching.
• Deliver end-to-end AP services and ensure timely supplier payments.
• Prepare weekly/monthly payment runs and maintain creditor records.
• Assist month-end activities and reconcile accounts as needed.
• Drive continuous improvement in AP processes and accuracy.
• Provide strong admin support and resolve invoice mismatches with suppliers.

YOUR MISSION

As a Finance Support Officer, you'll take ownership of end-to-end accounts payable activities, working with suppliers and internal stakeholders to ensure accurate invoice processing, timely payments, and exceptional service. You'll bring solid AP experience and pick up National Pharmacies' systems and processes along the way — with a natural focus on our Optical suppliers, while supporting general AP coverage across the business.

• Process and manage supplier invoices, ensuring accurate coding, purchase order matching, and timely entry into the finance system.
• Deliver efficient end-to-end accounts payable services, supporting the accurate and on-time payment of suppliers across the business.
• Prepare and coordinate weekly and monthly payment runs while maintaining accurate creditor records and account information.
• Assist with month-end activities, including account reconciliations and ensuring financial records are complete and accurate.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to streamline processes and enhance Accounts Payable performance.
• Provide high-quality administrative support, liaising closely with suppliers and internal employees to resolve invoice mismatches and maintain strong working relationships.

Desired Skills and Experience

WHAT YOU'LL BRING

AP Experience: demonstrated experience in an Accounts Payable position, with strong knowledge of invoice processing, purchase order matching, and supplier account management.

• Accuracy & Volume: proven ability to accurately process high volumes of transactions whilst maintaining exceptional attention to detail and data integrity.
• Process Know-How: experience preparing payment runs, reconciling accounts, and supporting month-end financial processes in a busy environment.
• Systems & Excel: strong computer literacy, with confidence using ERP or accounting systems and intermediate Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel.
• Problem-Solving: well-developed analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to investigate discrepancies and resolve issues efficiently.
• Communication: confident liaising with suppliers, branch teams, and internal stakeholders to resolve queries professionally and efficiently.
