Job summary

Colac Otway Shire Council is seeking a finance professional to support banking reconciliations, accounts payable and financial administration. You will contribute to month-end processes and tax reporting while collaborating with a high-performing team in a values-driven council environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in finance administration, accounts payable, bookkeeping or similar roles.
• Sound understanding of accounting and finance principles.
• Excellent attention to detail and data entry accuracy.
• Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel.
• Great communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to prioritise, meet deadlines and work both independently and as part of a team.

Join the Financial Services team at Colac Otway Shire Council and play a key role in supporting the financial operations that help our community thrive. From bank reconciliations and accounts payable to financial administration and reporting support, you'll be an important part of a collaborative and high-performing team.

What you’ll be doing

• Daily bank reconciliations and financial processing
• Supporting month-end finance activities
• Assisting with accounts payable, supplier maintenance and payment runs
• Processing procurement card transactions and credit notes
• Supporting GST, FBT and other taxation-related reporting

Salary information: $71,667.44 to $75,515.44 per annum plus superannuation
