Job summary

UNSW is seeking a Finance Support Services Supervisor to lead a team of Officers delivering high‑quality transactional finance and customer support across Faculties and Divisions. The role focuses on accuracy, compliance and proactive service delivery in a large university environment.

This 16‑month fixed‑term position reports to the Finance Support Services Lead and requires strong stakeholder engagement, process improvement and people development.

Qualifications

• Relevant tertiary qualifications in Accounting, Finance, or Business.
• Progress towards CA or CPA is highly regarded.
• Experience supervising staff in finance or shared services.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of Finance Support Services Officers.
• Oversee delivery of finance support services, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Provide guidance on Finance processes, policies and procedures.
• Monitor transactional activities and ensure service standards are met.
• Support reconciliations, journal processing and reporting requirements.
• Ensure adherence to university policies and controls.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and stakeholder experience.
• Build relationships with stakeholders across Faculties and Divisions.
• Contribute to workforce planning and continuous improvement initiatives.
