Job summary

25hours Hotels in Sydney is seeking a Finance Officer to join the team at 25hours Hotel The Olympia. You will be the numbers wiz behind the scenes, supporting operations, liaising with suppliers and partnering with department leaders to ensure financial clarity across the hotel.

You’ll oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, purchasing and payroll support when required, and collaborate with internal teams to manage payroll, rosters and award compliance.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of experience in a finance or accounts role, hospitality preferred.
• Experience with PMS (Opera Cloud), SUN and Purchase Plus is ideal.
• Strong communication, systematization and organisational skills.
• Knowledge of GST, ATO, Fair Work and award compliance.
• Reliable, proactive team player capable under pressure.

We're on the hunt for a sharp, detail-driven and people-focused Finance Officer to join our Finance team. You'll be the numbers wiz behind the scenes who helps keep the show running smoothly, supporting our operations, liaising with suppliers, and partnering with department leaders to ensure financial clarity across the hotel.

What your day might look like:

• You’ll oversee Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, reconciliations, purchasing and payroll support when required;

• You’ll partner with internal teams to manage payroll, rosters, and ensure award compliance;

• You’ll assist with cash flow forecasting, budgets, financial reporting and month-end processes;

• You’ll maintain accurate financial records and support strong financial controls;

• You’ll help ensure compliance with internal policies, procedures and local legislation;

• You’ll liaise with internal and external stakeholders with professionalism, integrity and warmth.

Qualifications

What we’re looking for…

• You’ve got at least 1 year of experience in a finance or accounts role, ideally in hospitality or a similar industry;

• Knowledge and experience with PMS (Opera Cloud), SUN and Purchase Plus is ideal;

• A confident communicator who loves systems, spreadsheets, and staying organised;

• Someone who knows their way around GST, ATO, Fair Work, and award compliance;

• A team player who’s reliable, trustworthy, and proactive under pressure;

• Bonus points if you’ve got experience with large hotel systems or multi‑site operations.
