Job summary

25hours Hotel The Olympia in Sydney’s Paddington is seeking a Duty Manager to lead the front office, manage shifts, and ensure exceptional guest experiences across all venues. You will oversee rosters and collaborate with the Rooms Division Manager to support team development.

The role requires hospitality training, some management experience, and fluent English. You’ll champion proactive service, inspire staff, and contribute to a fun, energetic team culture.

Introducing 25hours Hotel The Olympia, located in the vibrant Sydney suburb of Paddington. Housed within the iconic West Olympia Theatre, the hotel features 109 rooms and a collection of distinctive dining venues, including The Palomar restaurant, Jacob the Angel café, and Monica, the rooftop bar. Since opening, 25hours Hotel The Olympia has become a dynamic addition to Sydney's hospitality scene, bringing together a vibrant and diverse team to create memorable guest experiences.

From check-in to “see you again,” our Front Office team will ensure guests are happy from their first moment till their last. As the Duty Manager, you will take charge on shift and handle guest matters like pro. Be passionate, be quirky, and model the service that 25hours is known to deliver in their cities.

What does your workday look like …

Come as you are and always have fun with our people every day;

Lead by example and inspire the team to perform at their best;

Take care of resource planning, manage the team, and support your team’s development in collaboration with the Rooms Division Manager;

Make sure that the roster of duties is completed fairly, on time and with an eye on business;

Ensure things run smoothly when guests arrive at the hotel reception, and that the admin processes for the team run perfectly;

Be available throughout the day as a contact person for all our guests’ needs;

Effectively communicate across all areas of the hotel and know what’s happening in the venues;

Keep your head above water when there are sudden changes of plan;

Lead by example and show the team how passionate and quirky service looks like.

Qualifications

We are looking for you – with personality and that certain something …

You’ve completed a course of training in the hotel business, gained some management experience and can speak English fluently;

You can inspire your team just as you can inspire your guests. On top of this, you know your way around town and always have tips for partying up your sleeve;

You’re a doer – and even if you do it wrong sometimes, you openly admit it;
