Job summary

Bega Group is seeking a Finance Officer for our Ridge Street cheese manufacturing site in NSW. The role is 3 days per week with flexible days and will support reporting, budgeting, forecasting and month-end activities while partnering with site stakeholders to drive performance.

You'll join the Operations Finance team in a collaborative environment, focusing on delivering accurate financial insights and supporting business performance across packaged and cheese product lines.

Qualifications

• Experience in a Finance Officer, Accounts, or similar role.
• Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
• Proficiency in Excel and financial systems/ERPs.
• Collaborative, with excellent communication.
• Proactive, organised, eager to learn.

The Role

Looking for a flexible finance role where you can make a real impact? Join our supportive Operations Finance team as a Finance Officer, working 3 days per week with flexibility around your working days.

In this role, you’ll support financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, month-end activities, and operational analysis while partnering closely with site stakeholders to help drive business performance.

Our Ridge Street site services many customers in a contract manufacturing capacity focused on packaged, natural and processed cheeses. These include the renowned Bega cheese blocks- mild, tasty, and vintage, shredded and cubed cheese, natural slices, parmesan, colby, mozzarella and burger slice cheeses.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and deliver accurate financial reports, analysis and business insights
• Support budgeting, forecasting and month-end reporting activities
• Maintain financial records and ensure compliance with internal controls and processes
• Partner with operational teams to provide financial support and guidance
• Identify opportunities to improve processes and reporting efficiency

About you

• Experience in a Finance Officer, Accounts, Assistant Accountant or similar role
• Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
• Proficiency in Excel and financial systems/ERPs
• Collaborative approach with excellent communication skills
• Proactive, organised, and eager to learn
