Job summary

Bega Group in Melbourne's Docklands is seeking a Payroll Services Officer to ensure accurate, on-time payroll for our diverse workforce. You will join the People & Capability team and deliver end-to-end payroll services with a focus on service excellence and data integrity.

This hybrid role suits payroll professionals who enjoy building strong relationships, navigating payroll legislation, and contributing to a people-focused workplace while improving processes and reporting.

Qualifications

• Previous experience processing end-to-end payroll including manual processing.
• Strong knowledge of payroll legislation, Modern Awards and compliance requirements.
• Strong Excel skills with experience in reporting and reconciliations.
• Experience with Micro pay payroll systems will be highly regarded.
• High attention to detail, strong communication skills, and a collaborative, customer-focused approach.

Responsibilities

• Process end-to-end payroll activities, ensuring employees are paid accurately and on time.
• Manage payroll administration, reconciliations, reporting and month-end activities.
• Prepare termination payments and support payroll compliance requirements.
• Respond to payroll enquiries, providing a high level of customer service and support to employees and leaders.
• Partner with internal teams to maintain payroll data integrity and continuously improve payroll processes.

The Role
