Job summary

Visy Beverage Can in Queensland is seeking a Finance Manager to partner with operations and drive financial performance across the beverage can business. You will move beyond month-end accounting to deliver insight, challenge and commercial support for plant performance, investments and continuous improvement.

Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will work with site leadership to shape budgets and forecasts and provide analysis of volume, costs and inventory to enable strategic decision

Qualifications

• CA/CPA qualified
• Manufacturing or FMCG experience with understanding of cost drivers
• Commercially minded with ability to influence senior stakeholders
• Strong analytical and financial modelling skills
• Experience supporting investment decisions, business cases and performance improvement initiatives
• SAP or similar financial systems experience (Hyperion advantageous)

Responsibilities

• Lead monthly reporting, forecasting and budgeting with clear insight into key drivers.
• Analyse performance across volume, pricing, costs, productivity and inventory.
• Support capital investment, growth and continuous improvement initiatives with robust analysis.
• Identify risks and opportunities and provide constructive challenge for decision-making.
• Oversee month-end processes, balance sheet integrity, controls and governance.

  The Opportunity:

  As the Finance Manager - Beverage Can QLD, you’ll be much more than a month-end accountant. You’ll be a trusted finance partner to operations, providing insight, challenge and commercial support across plant performance, investment and continuous improvement. Reporting to the Financial Controller, based inter-state, the role offers broad exposure across manufacturing, commercial and supply chain in a business with a strong pipeline for future growth.

  Key Responsibilities:

  • Partner with site leadership to drive financial and operational performance across the QLD Beverage Can operation.
  • Lead monthly reporting, forecasting and budgeting, providing clear insight into key performance drivers.
  • Analyse performance across volume, pricing, manufacturing costs, productivity and inventory.
  • Support capital investment, growth and continuous improvement initiatives with robust financial and commercial analysis.
  • Identify risks and opportunities and provide constructive challenge to support business decision-making.
  • Oversee month-end, balance sheet integrity, financial controls and governance.

  What you’ll bring:

  • CA/CPA qualified with experience in management accounting, commercial or operational finance.
  • Manufacturing or FMCG experience, with a strong understanding of operational and cost drivers.
  • Commercially minded, with the confidence to influence, challenge and partner with senior stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and financial modelling skills, with the ability to turn complex information into actionable insights.
  • Experience supporting investment decisions, business casescases, and performance improvement initiatives.
  • Strong SAP or similar and Hyperion experience is advantageous.
