Job summary

Visy invites applications for a Plant Accountant in Yatala. You will partner with site leadership to deliver timely financial reporting, budgeting and forecasting in a fast-paced FMCG manufacturing environment.

Reporting to the Financial Controller, you’ll translate data into actionable insights, drive continuous improvement and ensure robust financial controls across the plant. If you’re CA/CPA qualified with SAP experience, join Visy’s sustainability leadership.

Qualifications

• CA/CPA qualified with a degree in Accounting, Finance or Commerce.
• Experience in Plant/Management or Commercial Accounting role.
• Manufacturing/FMCG background with strong SAP skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver timely and accurate financial reporting and translate data into actionable insights.
• Own month-end accounting activities and ensure data integrity.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting and performance management processes across the business.
• Analyse financial and operational performance and identify key drivers, risks and opportunities.
• Build strong relationships with operational stakeholders to drive productivity and financial outcomes.
• Ensure robust financial controls, governance and compliance across areas of responsibility.
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and growth.

The Opportunity:

Join Visy's Beverage Can manufacturing team in Yatala as a Plant Accountant and become a trusted finance partner to site leadership. Reporting to the Financial Controller, you'll provide financial insight, analysis and commercial support to drive plant performance, profitability and continuous improvement in a fast-paced FMCG manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver timely and accurate financial reporting, translating data into actionable business insights.
• Own month-end accounting activities, ensuring the integrity and accuracy of financial information.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting and performance management processes across the business.
• Analyse financial and operational performance, providing insights on key drivers, risks and opportunities.
• Build strong relationships with operational stakeholders to drive productivity, cost optimisation and financial outcomes.
• Ensure robust financial controls, governance and compliance across all areas of responsibility.
• Identify and implement process improvement opportunities that enhance efficiency and support business growth.

What you’ll bring:

• CA/CPA qualified with a degree in Accounting, Finance or Commerce.
• Experience in a Plant, Management or Commercial Accounting role.
• Background within manufacturing, FMCG or a complex operational environment.
• Strong SAP skills; Hyperion and Essbase experience is advantageous.
• Commercially minded with the ability to influence and challenge stakeholders.
• Proactive, organised and resilient, with a continuous improvement mindset.
