Job summary

Ocius Technology is an Australian provider of autonomous surface vessels seeking a Finance Manager Operations to oversee day-to-day finance, month-end close, budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management, while delivering commercial insights for decision-making across the business.

The role partners with operational leaders to improve financial performance, supports strategic planning and business cases, and drives continuous improvement of ERP and reporting capabilities, including NetSuite.

Qualifications

• Degree qualification in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related discipline.
• 7+ years' experience in finance, accounting, commercial finance, or operational finance roles.
• Experience working in a growing SME, technology, manufacturing, engineering, defence, or project-based environment.
• Strong financial modelling, budgeting, forecasting, and management reporting skills.
• Experience partnering with operational managers and senior stakeholders.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building capability.
• A hands-on approach with the ability to operate strategically while remaining engaged in the detail.
• Experience with ERP systems such as NetSuite is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day financial operations, including month-end reporting, budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and financial controls.
• Prepare accurate and timely management reports and financial analysis for executive leadership.
• Partner with operational leaders to improve financial performance and business outcomes.
• Support strategic planning, business case development, and operational decision-making.
• Processing of payroll and calculation of payroll related taxes.
• Manage compliance with accounting standards, tax obligations, audits, and statutory reporting requirements.
• Drive continuous improvement in financial processes, systems, and reporting capability.
• Support the optimisation of ERP and business systems.
• Contribute to the development of scalable financial processes to support business growth.
