Job summary

K92 Mining Inc. is seeking a Finance Manager - Australia to lead the Brisbane finance team and own the Australian finance function. You will work with the Vancouver office, PNG site finance, and external advisors, with travel to the Kainantu mine expected.

The role requires a CA/CPA, a tertiary accounting/finance qualification, and 10+ years in finance, including leading a function. Strong technical accounting and Australian tax knowledge are essential.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in Accounting or Finance is essential.
• CA or CPA designation is essential.
• 10+ years in finance or accounting roles with leadership experience.
• Mining or resources experience is highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Own the month-end close and monthly reporting for the Australian entity, including P&L and cash flow forecasting to the Vancouver office.
• Prepare the annual Australian financial statements and manage the external audit.
• Oversee PNG consolidation and accounting for CWIP, transfers and commissioning, and fixed assets.
• Review PNG cost reports, GL reconciliations and schedules; travel to Kainantu as needed.
• Manage Australian tax and statutory compliance (BAS, GST, FBT, payroll tax, superannuation, STP, WorkCover, ASIC).
• Review/pay runs and intercompany settlements in ANZ Transactive; manage banking relationships and deposits.
• Lead monthly Australian payroll and PNG expatriate payroll processing and tax treatment.
• Oversee Brisbane AP foreign payments and intercompany recharges for PNG operations.
• Run intercompany reconciliations with PNG, Canada, and BVI; manage service fee invoices.
• Lead annual budget and forecasts for Australian entity and Brisbane cost centers.
• Lead, develop and review the Brisbane finance team.
