Job summary

South32 is hiring a Finance Business Partner for the Cannington operation in Queensland. The role reports to the Finance Manager and will partner with the mine VP of Operations and site leadership to embed financial discipline and governance.

You will drive cost management, budgeting, forecasting and performance reporting, while leveraging SAP and TM1. This FIFO role includes on-site accommodation and a 4 days on, 3 days off schedule, with home-work alternating every second week.

Qualifications

Degree in Finance/Commercial required.
CPA/CA or equivalent preferred.
Experience with SAP or similar systems; advanced Excel; Power BI advantageous.

Responsibilities

Provide strategic and tactical leadership to support cost discipline and financial governance.
Analyse financial performance and communicate key cost drivers and KPIs.
Lead monthly management reporting and variance analysis for on-site operations.
Oversee annual budget and site forecast processes with management approvals.
Evaluate investment proposals and capital management tasks; ensure alignment with strategy.
