GRiD Electrical seeks an experienced Finance / Contracts Manager to oversee financial management and contract administration across our NSW project portfolio. You will partner with project teams to protect commercial performance and ensure tight compliance on major infrastructure works.

The role requires strong month-end, forecasting and reporting capabilities, with a focus on WIP, revenue recognition, and project profitability across the Marsden Park project.

Qualifications

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline.
• 5–7 years of accounting and finance experience.
• Experience in a Finance Manager, Senior Accountant or similar role.
• Strong month-end and management reporting experience.
• Budgeting and forecasting experience.
• Solid balance sheet reconciliations and controls.
• Advanced Excel skills.
• Construction/infra project experience desirable.
• Understanding of construction contracts (AS4000/AS4300) advantageous.

Responsibilities

GRiD Electrical is a Tier 1 electrical infrastructure business delivering high voltage and critical electrical works across NSW. We're looking for an experienced Finance / Contracts Manager to oversee financial management and contract administration across our project portfolio, ensuring commercial performance and compliance are tightly managed as we continue to grow.

This role suits someone who understands both the numbers and the contracts behind infrastructure projects, and who can work closely with project and construction teams to protect the business commercially.

The Finance Manager will operate as the primary Finance business partner to the Marsden Park Project Director and project leadership team, managing financial reporting, project accounting, and forecasting for a major infrastructure project. You will work closely with the Project Director and Project Managers to ensure accurate financial information, timely month-end reporting, and meaningful financial analysis to support project performance and commercial decision-making.

Key responsibilities

Manage the monthly financial close requirements for the Marsden Park project and ensure all month-end reporting requirements are completed accurately and within established Finance deadlines

Coordinate the collection and review of financial information required from Project Managers and project stakeholders for month-end

Prepare financial reports and supporting analysis for review by the Project Director, Managing Director and Head of Finance

Review monthly project Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet and project financial information, including balance sheet reconciliations

Investigate material financial movements and variances and provide meaningful commentary explaining project performance against budget and forecast

Take ownership of financial reporting and project accounting requirements, including Work in Progress (WIP) reporting and revenue recognition

Monitor project margins, cost movements and financial performance and identify emerging financial risks

Coordinate monthly project forecasting requirements with the Project Director and Project Managers

Work closely with the Project Director on the day-to-day financial management of the project and provide practical financial guidance to project and operational teams

Attend relevant project performance and financial review meetings and maintain strong collaboration between the Marsden Park project and the Finance function

About you

Essential: Degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce or related discipline

Minimum 5-7 years' relevant accounting and Finance experience

Experience in a Finance Manager, Senior Accountant, or similar position

Strong month-end and management reporting experience

Demonstrated budgeting and forecasting experience

Strong understanding of balance sheet reconciliations and financial controls

Advanced Microsoft Excel skills

Strong analytical and problem-solving capability

Ability to manage multiple priorities and strict reporting deadlines

Highly desirable: Experience within construction, electrical contracting, infrastructure, engineering or another project-based environment

Strong understanding of construction contracts (AS4000, AS4300, or similar)
