Job summary

ShineHub Pty Limited, an Australian renewable energy group behind brands including ShineHub and Powow, is seeking a Finance Manager to run the day-to-day finance function across the Group. You will report to the CFO and deliver monthly management accounts, cash flow forecasts and insightful analysis.

The role oversees month-end, intercompany activities, tax compliance and Xero-based reporting across multiple platforms, with a small team and hybrid work arrangement in Mascot.

Qualifications

• CA or CPA qualification with 3+ years accounting experience.
• Experience in multi-entity & intercompany accounting.
• Proficiency with Xero and Excel; tax/compliance knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Lead month-end and year-end close across Group entities.
• Prepare monthly management accounts with CFO-facing analysis.
• Own cash flow forecasting and working capital management.
• Oversee AP/AR, reconciliations, and payments.
• Coordinate budgets and rolling forecasts with the CFO.
• Coordinate tax/compliance and audit prep.
• Oversee Xero integrations and reporting.
• Supervise a small team including offshore staff.

Our businesses span residential and commercial solar and battery solutions, wholesale distribution, power purchase agreements (PPAs) and virtual power plant (VPP) technology, helping customers reduce energy costs through equipment supply, system installations and funded energy solutions.

What you will do

• Lead month-end and year-end close across Group entities, including reconciliations, intercompany and fixed assets.
• Prepare monthly management accounts with clear analysis of performance, variances and key issues for the CFO.
• Own cash flow forecasting, working capital and day-to-day cash management, flagging funding needs and risks early.
• Oversee AP, AR, bank reconciliations, collections and payment processes with the right approvals in place.
• Coordinate budgets and rolling forecasts with the CFO and department heads.
• Coordinate tax and statutory compliance (BAS/GST, PAYG, payroll tax, FBT) and audit preparation with external advisers.
• Oversee Xero and its interfaces with operational platforms, resolving discrepancies and improving integrations and reporting.
• Supervise a small team of local and offshore staff and support the CFO on Group reporting and finance projects.

What you bring

• CA or CPA qualified with a relevant degree and at least three years of accounting experience, including month-end and day-to-day finance operations.
• Strong technical accounting skills: management accounts, cash flow forecasts, budgets and accurate records.
• Multi-entity experience, including intercompany accounting, reconciliations and group reporting.
• Proficiency in Xero or a similar system, with experience reconciling data across operational platforms and improving processes.
• Sound knowledge of Australian Accounting Standards and tax compliance, plus strong Excel skills.
• Professional proficiency in English and Mandarin.
• Strong attention to detail, good organisational skills and full working rights in Australia.

Experience in solar, renewables, retail, construction or other project-based industries, a background in a fast-paced group accounting environment, or experience supervising offshore teams will be highly regarded.
