Job description

An opportunity to contribute to financial reporting, commercial insight and group finance support across a dynamic business.

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Finance Manager to provide high-quality financial management, reporting and commercial support across assigned business units, while contributing to key Group finance activities. Reporting to the Group Financial Controller / CFO, this role will partner closely with business leaders and operational teams to interpret performance, strengthen financial controls and support informed decision-making.

This is a broad, hands-on finance role suited to a commercially minded accounting professional who enjoys balancing technical financial reporting with business partnering, cashflow management, tax and audit responsibilities, and continuous improvement projects.

What you’ll be doing

Lead month-end reporting, balance sheet reconciliations and financial analysis for assigned business units.

Prepare cashflow reporting, Board report inputs, loan covenant packs and commentary on key financial movements.

Manage cashflow forecasting, treasury activities, banking facilities, foreign exchange hedging, drawdowns and bank guarantees.

Partner with General Managers, Business Unit Managers and operational leaders to provide practical commercial insight.

Support budgeting and forecasting, including reviewing assumptions, analysing variances and coordinating approved budgets in SAP.

Support statutory, taxation and audit obligations across Australian and New Zealand entities.

Manage the annual general insurance renewal process and related stakeholder, broker and funding requirements.

Contribute to finance projects, banking implementations, acquisitions, integrations and continuous improvement initiatives.

Manage and support the Management Accountant, providing direction, coaching and development while ensuring key finance activities are completed accurately and on time.

Build effective relationships across Finance and the wider business and promote a collaborative approach between Finance, Sales, Operations and other functions.

About you

You are a confident finance professional who can move comfortably between detail and strategy. You bring strong technical accounting capability, sound commercial judgement and the ability to build trusted relationships with both finance and non-finance stakeholders.

CA/CPA qualification or equivalent.

Strong financial and management accounting experience, preferably in a Finance Manager, Senior Financial Accountant or similar role.

Demonstrated understanding of statutory financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, cashflow and treasury processes.

Ability to analyse performance and communicate clear insights to operational and senior stakeholders.

Advanced Excel capability and strong ERP experience, with SAP experience essential.

Experience with TM1 and Power BI will be highly regarded.

Strong organisation skills, attention to detail and ability to manage competing priorities to deadline.

Strong stakeholder management and communication skills

This role offers the opportunity to work close to business decision-making, influence financial performance and contribute to a Group finance function that supports reporting discipline, commercial insight and continuous improvement.

Leadership and collaboration

You will manage and support a Management Accountant, providing direction, coaching and development while ensuring key finance activities are completed accurately and on time. Success in this role will also rely on your ability to build constructive working relationships across Finance, Sales, Operations, HR and other business functions.
