Job summary

Talantir on the Sunshine Coast is seeking an experienced Finance Manager to own the finance function across our doctor-led imaging group. This high-impact role partners with senior leadership to drive performance, planning, and sustainable growth while mentoring the existing finance team.

The position is predominantly home-based with travel to our Sunshine Coast practices. CA/CPA designation and strong Xero/Excel skills are essential, along with a proven track record in financial reporting,

Qualifications

• CA/CPA qualified with a degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Proven experience in financial management and/or business partnering roles.
• Experience leading finance teams.
• Experience in healthcare or medical imaging (desirable).
• Strong commercial acumen with ability to provide strategic insights and influence non-finance stakeholders.

About Us

Our Sunshine Coast practices are independently owned and doctor led, we are committed to delivering high-quality imaging and patient-focused care by remaining at the forefront of new imaging techniques to benefit our referrers and patients.

We provide a comprehensive range of imaging and procedural services including MRI, PET/CT, CT, SPECT/CT, breast imaging, ultrasound, fluoroscopy, BMD, dental imaging, and general x-ray.

About This Opportunity

Due to continued growth, we are seeking an experienced Finance Manager to take ownership of our finance function and play a key role in shaping the financial direction of the business.

This is a broad, high-impact role responsible for managing the end-to-end finance function while partnering closely with leadership to support business performance, decision-making, and sustainable growth. You will lead and support the existing finance team, strengthen financial operations, and drive improvements across systems, processes, and reporting.

This role provides a high degree of autonomy and is primarily home-based/remote, with travel required to the Sunshine Coast practices. Preference will be given to candidates located on the Sunshine Coast.

The responsibilities for this position include but are not limited to:

• Own and manage the end-to-end finance function, including systems, processes, controls, and outputs
• Lead, mentor, and support the finance team across multiple sites
• Oversee financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, cost management, and performance tracking
• Manage day-to-day financial operations (AP/AR, payroll, tax compliance)
• Ensure compliance with regulations and maintain strong internal controls
• Prepare accurate and timely financial reports and insights for stakeholders
• Act as a trusted finance partner to senior leaders and operational managers
• Provide financial modelling and analysis to support investment and business decisions
• Proactively identify risks, opportunities, and performance improvement initiatives
• Monitor cash flow, optimise working capital, and manage banking relationships
• Drive efficiencies and continuous improvement across finance systems and workflows
• Ensure finance processes are scalable to support business growth

About You

• CA/CPA qualified with a degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Proven experience in financial management and/or business partnering roles
• Demonstrated ability to influence and collaborate with non-finance stakeholders
• Strong commercial acumen with the ability to provide strategic insights
• Experience leading or mentoring finance teams
• Solid understanding of financial reporting standards
• Proficiency in Xero and advanced Excel skills
• High attention to detail with strong analytical capability
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
• Experience in healthcare or medical imaging (desirable, not essential)
• Strong commercial acumen
