Job summary

Rugby WA seeks a Finance & IT Manager to lead daily finance operations, payroll, and technology functions in a fast‑paced sporting environment. You will manage a small team, ensure accurate reporting, and partner with external IT providers to align technology with business goals.

The role reports to the GM Finance, translating financial frameworks into actionable operations, while delivering timely information for strategic decisions and maintaining strong internal controls.

Qualifications

• Degree or tertiary qualification in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, Business or related discipline.
• CPA or CA qualification, or working towards qualification, is desirable.
• Recent demonstrated experience in finance management and leading a team.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day finance operations including accounts payable/receivable, payroll, cash management and general ledger.
• Lead the IT function in collaboration with Rugby Australia to ensure secure, reliable systems and user support.
• Provide timely financial reporting and analysis to support strategic decision-making.
• Develop and maintain budgets, forecasts and internal controls across the organisation.
