Job summary

Equipped Group Australia is seeking a Finance Manager to oversee day-to-day finance and payroll across 4 businesses, driving financial planning, reporting, budgeting, forecasting and cash flow management. You will partner with senior leadership and operational teams to provide insights that support performance and growth.

You will lead month-end/year-end processes, manage payroll and statutory obligations, and contribute to commercial tenders and pricing while ensuring accuracy and compliance.

Qualifications

• Experience as Finance Manager, Senior Accountant, Financial Controller or similar.
• Strong experience in financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting and cash flow management.
• Experience with month-end and year-end financial processes.
• Payroll management experience.
• Understanding of Australian accounting, taxation and statutory requirements.
• Advanced Excel and financial systems capability.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Leadership and people management capability.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the day-to-day finance and payroll operations.

• Oversee accounts payable, receivable, reconciliations and general ledger activities.
• Manage RTWSA, BAS and Payroll Tax lodgments.
• Oversee payroll processes and associated taxation and superannuation obligations.
• Monitor debtor performance and working capital.
• Complete project invoicing and track project costs.
• Support tenders, pricing, contracts and commercial proposals.

Reporting to the Manager, Corporate Services, you will oversee the day-to-day finance and payroll function across 4 businesses and play an important role in financial planning, reporting, budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management and continuous improvement. You will work closely with senior leadership and operational teams, providing financial insight that supports business performance, commercial decisions and future growth.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage the day-to-day finance and payroll operations
• Prepare and oversee financial reporting
• Manage budgeting, forecasting and cash flow projections
• Monitor financial performance, identify trends and provide recommendations
• Oversee and contribute to accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations and general ledger activities
• Manage RTWSA, BAS and Payroll Tax lodgments
• Oversee payroll processes and associated taxation and superannuation obligations
• Monitor debtor performance and working capital
• Complete project invoicing and track project costs
• Support tenders, pricing, contracts and commercial proposals

About you

• Demonstrated experience as a Finance Manager, Senior Accountant, Financial Controller or similar
• Strong financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting and cash flow management experience
• Experience managing month-end and year-end financial processes

• Strong understanding of Australian accounting, taxation and statutory requirements
