Role overview

The Finance & ICT Manager will report to the General Manager of Business Service and be responsible for the following responsibilities:

Responsibilities

Finance

  • Lead the preparation of annual financial statements and coordinate the external audit process.
  • Manage and maintain financial forecasts, budgets, and models to support strategic planning and informed decision-making.
  • Provide high-level financial reporting and analysis to executive management, offering insights into performance, risks, and opportunities.
  • Monitor and manage cash flow to ensure adequate liquidity and efficient use of funds.
  • Identify and assess financial risks, implementing appropriate controls and mitigation strategies.
  • Lead and manage the organisation’s cybersecurity strategy, ensuring compliance with relevant standards and safeguarding data integrity and confidentiality.
  • Evaluate, implement, and maintain business-critical information systems, ensuring they align with organisational needs and workflows.
  • Supervise and coordinate the internal help desk function, ensuring timely and effective technical support for all staff.
  • Manage property portfolio and investment portfolio (including tenancy, body corporate committee member and management of current lease agreement).

Information and Communication Technology

  • Manage IT-related vendor relationships, contracts, and budgets, ensuring value for money and service reliability.
  • Oversee the strategic planning, implementation, and maintenance of information technology systems to support business operations.
  • Evaluate, implement, and maintain business-critical information systems, ensuring they align with organisational needs and workflows.
  • Lead and manage the organisation’s cybersecurity strategy, ensuring compliance with relevant standards and safeguarding data integrity and confidentiality.
  • Lead and manage the IT and Finance team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
  • Implement and enforce internal controls to safeguard company assets and maintain data integrity.

As a member of a small team this will be a strategic and hands on role. We are looking for an all-rounder who is happy to support the team as needed.

Qualifications and Experience
  • At least 4-5 years of experience in Finance, IT systems and or Business Management/commerce.
  • Tertiary qualification in Business Management, Commerce, Finance with years of experience in IT systems.
  • High quality report writing, development of frameworks and ability to present to Board & Committees.
  • Demonstrated confidence in their ability to engage, communicate and present for a variety of stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated experience with various communication modes, including Microsoft Office suite of programs.
