Job summary

Xceltium in Sydney, Australia, seeks a Business Applications Senior Analyst to run and improve its Finance and back-office applications, with a focus on JD Edwards. You will be deeply hands-on across the day-to-day Applications environment and governance.

You’ll work across the application lifecycle, identify opportunities to improve technology supporting Finance, and collaborate with external partners when specialist expertise is required.

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on JD Edwards experience.
• Business Applications experience across design, configuration, implementation, maintenance and support.
• Good understanding of Finance processes and how they translate into application requirements.
• Experience working across applications, integrations and reporting.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting capability.
• Confidence working with stakeholders and challenging requirements constructively.
• Experience working with vendors and following issues through to resolution.

Responsibilities

• You will run and improve the Finance and back-office applications environment, ensuring reliability and appropriate governance.
• Identify opportunities to improve how technology supports Finance, including automation, reporting and process improvements.
• Involved across the application lifecycle from requirements and solution design through configuration, testing, deployment and ongoing support.
• Expand capability across JD Edwards, other applications, integrations and reporting.
• Understand accounting and operational implications behind requirements across general accounting, job costing, fixed assets, AP, AR and procurement.
