Job summary

Downer is seeking a Finance Systems Specialist to lead the JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Finance function in a complex enterprise environment. You will serve as the expert and governance owner for major finance systems initiatives.

You will partner with Finance, Technology and external vendors to deliver enhancements, resolve issues, and drive transformation aligned to future-state operating models. The role emphasizes strong stakeholder engagement, controls, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Degree qualification in Accounting, Finance, IT or related discipline; CPA/CA highly regarded.
• Extensive JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Finance module experience in large enterprises.
• Governance, access management, segregation of duties and audit controls expertise.
• Experience delivering system enhancements and finance transformations.

Responsibilities

• Serve as SME for JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Finance to stakeholders across the business.
• Govern finance systems governance including master data, access reviews and audit controls.
• Partner with Finance, Technology and vendors to deliver enhancements and improvements.
• Support transformation programs with scalable, future-state operating models.
• Drive standardisation, automation and control improvements across processes.
• Oversee month-, quarter- and year-end close activities and documentation.
• Maintain governance frameworks, process maps and control procedures.
• Build trusted relationships and advise on governance and process improvements.
