Job summary

Narrativ Recruitment Advisory is partnering with an established Brisbane-based organization to appoint an experienced finance professional. The role oversees month-end, reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow within a 12-month contract, with a view to permanent succession.

You will lead a small finance team, strengthen controls and governance, and drive improvements in systems and reporting to deliver commercial insights for senior stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Qualified CA or CPA with strong accounting background.
• Experience in financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting and controls.
• Experience leading a small finance team.
• Proven ability to improve systems and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Oversee month-end close, financial reporting and management accounts.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting and cash flow activities.
• Strengthen financial controls, governance and compliance.
• Improve finance systems, processes and reporting capabilities.
• Develop dashboards and automation for visibility and efficiency.
• Provide commercial insights and financial advice to senior stakeholders.
• Lead and develop a small finance team.
• Coordinate year-end reporting and external audit requirements.
