Job summary

EVT Limited's QT Canberra property is seeking a Finance & Business Support Manager to provide commercial and financial leadership across the business. You will partner with General Managers and department heads to drive dashboards, budgeting, forecasting, and robust financial controls while supporting accountable decision-making across multiple sites.

Lead a finance team, oversee ledger management and reporting, and promote cost-control culture.

Qualifications

• Experience in hotel finance or multi-site operational finance.
• Strong commercial acumen with data-driven decision influence.
• Proven experience in financial controls and compliance.
• Skilled in budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis.
• Confident communicator with stakeholder-management capability.
• Experience leading and developing finance teams.
• High attention to detail and cost-management discipline.
• Proficient in financial systems and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Partner with General Managers, Department Heads and Owners to provide commercial and financial support.
• Drive dashboards and reporting tools across departments.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis and action planning.
• Maintain internal controls, compliance and financial policies.
• Oversee daily, weekly and monthly financial reporting, including revenue, payroll and F&B cost analysis.
• Safeguard assets through effective cash, debtor and stock controls.
• Lead general ledger management, balance sheet reconciliations and monthly/annual reporting.
• Manage credit, payroll compliance, purchasing and accounts payable processes.
• Coach and develop finance and business support team members.
• Promote a disciplined cost-control culture and commercial mindset across all properties.
