Job summary

Join a well-established FMCG organisation with a significant manufacturing operation. We are seeking an experienced Finance Manager to lead day-to-day financial management at the site, partnering with the Plant Manager and Site Leadership Team to drive commercial outcomes.

You will lead budgeting, forecasting, CAPEX planning and financial reporting, while developing the site finance team and ensuring financial integrity.

Qualifications

• Senior finance experience within FMCG or manufacturing.
• Experience partnering with senior operational stakeholders.
• Strong budgeting, forecasting and financial reporting capabilities.
• Must have SAP experience and strong Excel skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide financial insight across manufacturing, procurement, logistics, engineering, HR and production planning.
• Partner with the Plant Manager and Site Leadership Team to review performance and support strategic direction.
• Influence and advise senior stakeholders on financial and operational decisions.
• Lead the monthly site accounting close, reporting, financial analysis and forecasting.
• Lead and develop the site finance team.
• Oversee standard product costing, including new product development, variants, line extensions and trials.

This is an opportunity for an experienced Finance Business Partner or Finance Manager to take on a senior finance leadership role where you will work closely with the Plant Manager and operational stakeholders, providing commercial insight and financial leadership to support the site's performance and strategic direction.

Your new role

As a Finance Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day financial management of the manufacturing site and will be a key business partner to the Plant Manager and Site Leadership Team.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Providing financial insight across manufacturing, procurement, logistics, engineering, HR and production planning
• Partnering with the Plant Manager and Site Leadership Team to review performance and support the site's strategic direction
• Influencing and advising senior stakeholders on financial and operational decisions
• Leading the monthly site accounting close, reporting, financial analysis and forecasting
• Leading and developing the site finance team
• Overseeing standard product costing, including new product development, variants, line extensions and trials
• Managing annual budgets and monthly forecasting
• Providing financial control, advice and support to key stakeholders
• Managing CAPEX planning, project approval documentation, forecasting and reporting
• Ensuring the financial control, integrity and accuracy of site finance
• Identifying opportunities to improve financial and operational performance and driving change where required

About you

You will ideally bring

• Senior finance experience within FMCG or manufacturing
• Strong experience partnering with senior operational stakeholders, ideally within a manufacturing, site or production environment
• Excellent stakeholder management, communication and influencing skills
• The confidence to challenge, influence and collaborate with multiple departments to drive change and improve business performance
• Strong commercial acumen and the ability to turn financial information into actionable business insights
• Experience with manufacturing finance and product costing
• Strong budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting and analytical capability
• Must have SAP experience and strong Excel skills
