Drive commercial performance. Influence operational decisions. Make an impact.

Are you a commercially minded Finance Business Partner who enjoys getting beyond the numbers and working closely with operational teams to improve business performance?

We’re seeking an experienced Finance Business Partner to join an established manufacturing business in the food and beverage sector. This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive finance professional to partner with leaders across the business, provide meaningful commercial insights and help drive profitability, efficiency and sustainable growth.

This role will suit someone who combines strong financial analysis with practical commercial thinking and the confidence to challenge, influence and support stakeholders at all levels.

The opportunity

Working closely with operational and senior leadership teams, you will turn financial data into actionable insights, support strategic decision-making and help improve business performance across the organisation.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Partnering with operational leaders to understand performance drivers, identify risks and opportunities, and support commercial decision-making.
  • Leading budgeting, forecasting and financial planning processes.
  • Preparing monthly management reports, analysing variances and providing clear commentary on business performance.
  • Analysing product profitability, margins, cost of goods sold and operational expenditure.
  • Monitoring manufacturing costs, production performance, inventory and cost-control initiatives.
  • Identifying opportunities to improve profitability, productivity and operational efficiency.
  • Developing financial models, dashboards and performance metrics to support business decisions.
  • Providing commercial analysis to support pricing, investment decisions and business planning.
  • Challenging assumptions constructively and helping stakeholders understand the financial implications of their decisions.
  • Contributing to continuous improvement across reporting, processes and financial systems.
About you

You’re a commercially astute finance professional who enjoys working at the intersection of finance and operations. You can communicate complex financial information in a straightforward way and build strong relationships with non-finance stakeholders.

You will ideally bring:

  • Experience in a Finance Business Partner, Management Accountant or Commercial Finance role.
  • Strong budgeting, forecasting, management reporting and variance analysis capabilities.
  • Experience analysing margins, costs, profitability and operational performance.
  • Exposure to manufacturing, FMCG, food production or another operationally intensive environment.
  • The ability to translate financial information into practical recommendations and business outcomes.
  • Advanced Excel skills and confidence working with financial systems and reporting tools.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement, communication and influencing skills.
  • A proactive mindset, commercial curiosity and a continuous improvement focus.
  • A relevant accounting or finance qualification, with CA or CPA qualifications highly regarded.
Why consider this opportunity?
  • Commercial influence: Work directly with operational leaders and contribute to meaningful business decisions.
  • Operational exposure: Gain visibility across manufacturing, production, cost control and business performance.
  • Variety and ownership: Take responsibility for analysis and recommendations that have a tangible impact.
  • Continuous improvement: Help strengthen reporting, financial processes and commercial decision-making.
  • Career development: Build your commercial finance capability within an established operating business.
