Job summary

ArborKnot is building its in‑house finance function in Sydney. This role leads the core finance operations cycle, scaling processes as the business grows and bringing work in‑house from an external provider.

Qualifications

• CA, CPA or CFA qualification (or close to completion) with ~3–5 years’ experience across practice and industry.
• Able to own end‑to‑end deliverables within a month‑end cycle.
• Advanced Excel proficiency and experience with Xero.
• Strong attention to detail when reconciling large volumes of transactional data.
• Clear written communication with external counterparties.

Responsibilities

• Own the core finance operations cycle including reconciliations, reporting, payments, invoice review and inbox management.
• Prepare monthly management reporting underpinning cash forecasting, funding decisions and distributions across trusts/entities.
• Manage payment runs across multiple entities, currencies and banking platforms.
• Review and approve monthly invoice population in Xero.
• Oversee the finance inbox as operational hub, triaging and escalating where needed.
• Support banking, hedging and loan book funding alongside CFO and partners.
• Calculate revenue and portfolio fees and support payables/receivables with counterparties.
