Your resume and cover letter, tailored to exactly what they’re hiring for.
ArborKnot, a fintech investing in debt portfolios, is expanding its finance function in Sydney. This build role designs and owns the processes the business will run on as it scales, reporting to the CFO and supervising one direct report.
You will own monthly reconciliations across multiple entities and currencies, support cash forecasting and funding decisions, and drive end-to-end month-end cycles, with a clear path to Financial Controller or Head of Finance as the group grows.
ArborKnot is a fintech investing at the cutting edge of the non-performing loan market. We acquire, fund and manage consumer debt portfolios across Australia and Europe, backed by institutional investors, with operations spanning Australia, Europe and Israel.
We are small, fast-moving and commercially driven. Decisions get made quickly and people get genuine ownership of their work.
We are building out our finance function, and this role is central to it. It is a build role rather than a maintenance one: you will be designing and owning the processes that a business several times our current size will run on.
You will report to the CFO, work closely with the executive team, and manage one direct report.
As those bed down, the role broadens across financial control, finance operations, treasury and FP&A, including consolidated group reporting, budgeting and forecasting, statutory reporting and audit, investor reporting, and business partnering with the executive on funding and transactions.
How quickly that happens is largely up to you. We would rather stretch someone than hold them back.
Highly regarded: experience in financial services, specialty finance, private credit, funds management or fintech, or a first move out of Big Four audit. Exposure to trust structures, securitisation or warehouse funding, and cross-border group experience, are all a plus.
ArborKnot is a genuinely multicultural team that values creativity, collaboration and growth. We are committed to an inclusive workplace where people can bring their whole selves to work.
