About Us

Cancer Trials Australia (CTA) is a not-for-profit member-based organisation consisting of 33 clinical sites and 3 medical research institutes across Australia and New Zealand. We support the administration and management of clinical trials across both metropolitan and regional hospitals. We work in close partnership with clinical research sites, Sponsors and Contract Research Organisations to ensure patients can gain access to appropriate clinical trials as quickly as possible. About the Role

Due to continued growth, a new position has been created in CTA’s Finance team for a Finance Assistant. As a Finance Assistant, you will join an established and dedicated team of professionals to support the finance function of the business. The role requires you to undertake activities including, but not limited to:

  • Sales invoicing and reconciling related transactions with those reported by our Clinical Trial Management System.
  • Debtor management
  • General accounting services such as accounts payable, accounts receivable and adhoc administrative tasks as required.
About You

You will demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills to nurture positive ongoing relationships with internal and external stakeholders, whilst maintaining a professional approach in all activities.

Qualification and experience:

  • Diploma qualifications or partial completion of a Diploma of Accounting or equivalent experience.
  • A minimum of 3-5 years’ experience within a high-volume bookkeeping/billing environment, with regular client and customer contact.
  • Intermediate to advanced Excel skills including the ability to filter and manipulate large volumes of data in spreadsheets whilst maintaining quality control.
  • Ability to review contracts and apply contract clauses.
  • An ability to balance the need for efficiency with excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
  • High level of organisation skills and time management to meet deadlines.
  • Previous experience working in a Medical or Clinical Research organisation would be highly regarded.
