Suncorp is seeking an Assistant Finance Analyst to join the CFO Insurance – Finance & Advice team in Sydney on a 12-month contract. The role blends financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and month-end activities in a collaborative, hands-on environment.

You’ll support month-end activities, prepare journals and reconciliations, and contribute to management and external reporting while building skills in financial analysis and business partnering.

Competenze

• Degree qualification in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
• Up to 2 years' experience in accounting, finance, business analysis, or analytical roles.
• Advanced Excel skills and confidence working with financial systems and reporting tools.

Mansioni

• Create, consolidate, prepare, and own the initial budget, monthly financial results, and quarterly forecasts across all revenue and expenditure lines.
• Partner with key stakeholders to drive sound commercial decisions and implement process improvements.
• Deliver high-quality reporting combining financial and non-financial metrics with market trends.
• Analyze performance trends and explain variances between actuals, budgets, and forecasts.
• Monitor financial performance to identify risks and opportunities.
• Develop recommendations to enhance portfolio budget management and efficiency.
