Job summary

Suncorp is seeking an Assistant Finance Analyst to join the CFO Insurance – Finance & Advice team in Sydney on a 12-month fixed-term contract. The role offers hybrid working and a pathway to develop skills across financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting and month-end processes alongside experienced professionals.

Ideal candidates have a relevant degree and up to 2 years’ experience, with strong numerical acumen, attention to detail and advanced Excel.

Qualifications

• Degree qualification in Accounting, Finance or Business or related discipline.
• Up to 2 years’ experience in accounting, finance, business analysis or analytical roles.
• Advanced Excel and confidence with financial systems and reporting tools.

Responsibilities

• Support month-end finance activities, ensuring timely delivery of financial results.
• Prepare and process journals, reconciliations and variance investigations.
• Assist with monthly management reporting, Board reporting and external reporting.
• Contribute to forecasting and budgeting through financial analysis and insights.
• Identify and implement process improvements to reporting and controls.
