Job summary

Align Talent Pty Ltd is seeking a Finance Analyst / Business Partner in Melbourne to translate data into actionable plans and partner with executive leadership to drive commercial outcomes. You will build models for pricing, tendering and profitability analysis, while supporting strategic decision‑making with stakeholders across the CEO, State Managers and Sales teams.

The role offers hybrid working arrangements (2 days from home) within a high‑growth Australian delivery and logistics business.

Qualifications

• Relevant tertiary qualification in finance, accounting or commerce.
• CA/CPA qualification would be an advantage but not essential.
• Ability to partner with the business and provide commercial advice.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to communicate analysis effectively.
• High level financial modelling skills.
• Experience in the logistics sector an advantage but not essential.
• Experience in preparing board‑level reports.
• Advanced Excel and comfort using AI tools to support analysis.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proactive problem solver with high attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Translate data and commercial insights into meaningful plans and actions.
• Partner with the CEO, Executive Team, State Managers and Sales team to support decision‑making.
• Support growth opportunities through market and competitor analysis.
• Build financial models to support pricing, rate reviews and tenders.
• Analyse client and contract profitability.
• Prepare and validate the financials in new business proposals and presentations.
• Assist in the preparation of monthly board reports.
