Job summary

Redpath Partners is seeking an ambitious, commercially minded Accountant to join its well-capitalised real estate investment team in Sydney. This hands-on role spans financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, fund finance and investment analysis, offering exposure to senior decision-makers and real business impact.

You’ll partner with the Financial Controller and cross-functional teams to own processes, streamline reporting, improve data captures, and support ERP, BI and reporting initiatives

Qualifications

• Degree in Finance, Accounting or related discipline.
• Strong Excel and financial modelling capabilities.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail.
• Confident in preparing financial reports and presentations (PowerPoint).
• Strong communication with a range of stakeholders.
• Proactive, hands-on attitude with ownership mindset.

Responsibilities

• Assist with budgets, forecasts, financial models and analysis to support business performance.
• Gain exposure to financial operations of corporate and investment funds.
• Support financial and regulatory reporting and maintain strong controls.
• Identify opportunities to streamline reporting and automate processes.
• Contribute to ERP, reporting system and BI improvements.

Are you an ambitious, commercially minded Accountant looking for more than a commercial finance role?

This is a hands-on, broad-based role for someone who enjoys working with numbers but also wants to understand the bigger commercial picture. You'll gain exposure across financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, fund finance, investment analysis and business improvement, with the opportunity to take ownership, develop new skills and help build better ways of working.

Working closely with the Financial Controller and collaborating with the investment, finance and operations teams, you'll work across multiple areas of the business and make a meaningful contribution as the platform grows.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with budgets, forecasts, financial models and analysis to support business performance and decision-making
• Gain exposure to the financial operations of the corporate business and investment funds, including working with fund administrators and external service providers
• Support financial and regulatory reporting, maintain strong financial controls and help ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal policies
• Identify opportunities to streamline reporting, automate processes, and improve the way financial information is captured, analysed and presented
• Help maintain the integrity of financial data and contribute to ERP, reporting system and business intelligence improvements
• Get involved in AP/AR and other core finance activities, building a practical understanding of the business from the ground up
• Work across teams on ad hoc analysis, projects and initiatives that help the business make better decisions and scale efficiently

About you

• A degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce or a related discipline
• Strong Excel skills and an interest in financial modelling and analysis
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a high level of attention to detail
• Confidence preparing financial reports and presentations, including PowerPoint
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work with a range of stakeholders
• A proactive, hands-on attitude and a willingness to take ownership of tasks and see them through
• The ability to manage competing priorities, meet deadlines and adapt as business needs evolve
• Exposure to ERP systems, financial reporting tools or business intelligence platforms is advantageous
