Gough Recruitment in Sydney is seeking an experienced, hands-on Finance Manager to take ownership of the day-to-day finance function across multiple investment funds and corporate entities.

This broad role covers fund accounting, financial management, reporting and operational finance, with opportunities to improve processes and support the group's growth. You will work closely with senior leadership and a small finance team to drive commercial outcomes.

Qualifications

• CA/CPA qualified with 6–7+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience in fund accounting, corporate finance or investment management.
• Exposure to property funds or financial services is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Oversee financial operations across listed and unlisted property funds and corporate entities.
• Manage month-end reporting, financial statements, budgeting, forecasting and cash flow.
• Oversee fund accounting, trust distributions, unit pricing and investor reporting.
• Coordinate statutory reporting, external audits, tax compliance and regulatory requirements.
• Support acquisitions, transactions, new fund launches and investment activities.
• Lead and review the work of a small finance team.
• Improve financial processes, reporting systems and internal controls.
• Work closely with senior leadership on financial and commercial matters.

The Role

About You

• Strong background in fund accounting, corporate finance or investment management.
• Exposure to property funds, investment management or financial services highly regarded.
• Experience with trust accounting, distributions and fund tax advantageous.
• Strong technical accounting skills with the ability to manage multiple entities.
• Commercially minded, proactive and comfortable working in a smaller team.
• Confident working autonomously and engaging directly with senior stakeholders.
