Job summary

HousingFirst seeks a Finance Analyst to support Corporate Finance & Treasury, driving financial modelling, cash flow forecasting and regulatory reporting for a growing not-for-profit housing program.

The role involves maintaining cash flow models, assessing project feasibility and contributing to funding submissions, debt servicing analysis and management reporting. You will work across teams to deliver accurate financial insights that inform strategic decisions.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualifications in Accounting, Finance, Property, Construction or a related discipline.
• Demonstrated experience in financial modelling, cash flow forecasting, debt servicing analysis and project feasibility assessments.
• Experience preparing financial and compliance reports for a range of stakeholders.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret complex data.
• Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Support feasibility analysis and financial modelling for new housing developments and strategic projects.
• Provide analysis to support debt servicing, asset management and operational planning.

The Position

Reporting directly to the Corporate Finance & Treasury Manager, the Finance Analyst is a key member of the Commercial Team, supporting HousingFirst's strategic growth through financial modelling, compliance reporting, and business analysis.

This role plays an important part in maintaining corporate cashflow modelling, supporting project feasibility assessments, ensuring compliance with funding and lending obligations, and providing high-quality financial and housing data analysis to inform decision-making.

Responsibilities

• Assist with maintaining and updating corporate cash flow models across all HousingFirst entities
• Support feasibility analysis and financial modelling for new housing developments and strategic projects
• Provide analysis and insights to support debt servicing, asset management and operational planning
• Contribute to funding submissions and financial components of business proposals
• Prepare and coordinate compliance reporting for government funders, lenders and commercial partners
• Collate and validate housing, maintenance and financial data to support regulatory reporting requirements
• Monitor the accuracy and integrity of finance and housing data to ensure compliance with quality standards
• Prepare financial analysis, reports and presentations for management, Board and Committee purposes
• Support compliance with funding agreements, commercial loan obligations and lender reporting requirements
• Contribute to a positive workplace culture that reflects HousingFirst's values and strategic direction

As our ideal candidate you will have:

• Tertiary qualifications in Accounting, Finance, Property, Construction or a related discipline
• Demonstrated experience in financial modelling, cash flow forecasting, debt servicing analysis and project feasibility assessments
• Experience preparing financial and compliance reports for a range of stakeholders
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and provide meaningful insights
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
• Experience working collaboratively across teams and building effective stakeholder relationships
• An understanding of the community housing, property, infrastructure or not-for-profit sector will be highly regarded
