Job summary

HorizonOne Recruitment is recruiting a Senior Financial Analyst for a 12-month contract in Canberra. The role blends FP&A with finance business partnering, providing exposure to a broad range of stakeholders and financial processes within a large, complex organisation.

Qualifications

• Strong written and verbal communication skills with ability to explain financial information to non-financial stakeholders.

Our client is a large, commercially focused organisation based in Canberra.

The finance function plays a central role in supporting decision-making across the business, working closely with both financial and non-financial stakeholders.

The Opportunity

This is a 12-month contract opportunity for a Senior Financial Analyst.

You’ll work across a mix of Financial Planning & Analysis and finance business partnering, giving you exposure to a broad range of stakeholders and financial processes within a large, complex organisation.

As an organisation, they are open to process improvement so there will be room to bring your own ideas to existing ways of working.

The Role

This role blends FP&A with finance business partnering, working closely with stakeholders across the business.

As a Senior Financial Analyst, you will be:

• Building and managing financial models that support business decision-making
• Analysing financial performance and question assumptions to get to the real story behind the numbers
• Partnering with financial and non-financial stakeholders across the business, building strong working relationships
• Communicating financial insights clearly through both written and verbal reporting

The Ideal Person

You’re naturally curious, comfortable asking the right questions to understand the many layers of the business, and confident building relationships with stakeholders at all levels.

You will bring the following skills and experience:

• At least 5 years’ commercial management accounting experience
• Experience in a finance business partnering or FP&A within a large complex business in the property, development or construction industry will be highly regarded
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain financial information to non-financial stakeholders

Salary / Rate

• $90/hr – $100/hr + Super
• 12-month labour hire contract
• Canberra based role
