Job summary

The Living Company is seeking an FP&A Analyst within Group Commercial Finance to support planning, forecasting and reporting across our student living, rent to live and retirement living platforms - owning the analytical layer behind the group's management company numbers.

Day-to-day you will build revenue and cost models, prepare budgets and forecasts, run scenario analyses and deliver Power BI dashboards. Strong Excel, Power BI and accounting knowledge are valued.

Qualifications

• Degree in Commerce, Finance, Accounting, Economics, Engineering or quantitative field.
• CA or CPA qualification or progressing toward qualification (CFA also relevant).
• Advanced Excel and financial modelling skills, including Power Query and Power Pivot.
• Competence in Power BI, including data modelling, DAX and dashboard design (desired).
• Experience with AI tools for structured prompting, data extraction and repeatable analytical workflows.
• Exposure to real estate, infrastructure or funds management, or major ERP platforms (e.g., NetSuite, TechOne).

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain the group's revenue and management fee models and support cost recharge and allocation calculations.
• Build and maintain annual budget and rolling forecast models with scenario analysis.
• Support monthly management reporting, variance analysis and executive flash reporting.
• Develop Power BI reports and dashboards and the underlying data structures.
• Act as finance contact translating plans into financial outcomes for operational and investment teams.
• Simplify spreadsheet models to ensure transparency and auditability.

THE ROLE
As FP&A Analyst within Group Commercial Finance, you'll support planning, forecasting and reporting across our student living, rent to live and retirement living platforms - owning much of the analytical layer beneath the group's management company numbers.

Day-to-day you will be (but not limited to):

• Preparing and maintaining the group's revenue and management fee models, and supporting internal cost recharge and allocation calculations
• Building and maintaining annual budget and rolling forecast models, including reforecast cycles and scenario/sensitivity analysis
• Supporting monthly management reporting, variance analysis and commentary, and periodic flash reporting for executive decision-making
• Building and maintaining Power BI reports and dashboards, and the underlying data structures behind them
• Acting as a finance contact for operational, corporate and investment teams, translating business plans into financial outcomes
• Simplifying and standardising spreadsheet models to keep them transparent, auditable and quick to review

WHAT YOU'LL BRING

• Degree in Commerce, Finance, Accounting, Economics, Engineering or another quantitative discipline
• 1-3 years in an FP&A, commercial finance or corporate finance role, or a first move into industry from a Big 4 or advisory background (transaction services, M&A, valuations or audit)
• CA or CPA qualified or progressing toward qualification (CFA equally relevant)
• Advanced Excel and financial modelling skills, including Power Query and Power Pivot
• Competence in Power BI, including data modelling, DAX and dashboard design (desired)
• Practical use of AI tools beyond basic chat - structured prompting, document/data extraction and building repeatable analytical workflows
• Exposure to real estate, infrastructure or funds management, or experience with a major ERP platform (e.g. NetSuite, TechOne), will be highly regarded
