Job summary

Thomsons invites an experienced Finance Administrator to join our national Finance team on a full-time basis. Reporting to Finance Managers in Brisbane and Adelaide, the role supports a broad range of finance functions across offices nationwide, with the successful candidate able to be based in Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide, Brisbane or Perth.

This is a true generalist finance position, not just accounts payable.

Qualifications

• Experience in a similar finance or accounting support role, ideally in corporate or professional services.
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
• Capable of managing competing deadlines in a busy environment.
• Proactive problem-solver who takes initiative.
• Strong communicator who works well in a team.

Responsibilities

• Processing accounts payable (entering invoices and preparing daily payments)
• Managing accounts receivable and staff/client disbursements
• Completing daily banking and payment reconciliations
• Preparing monthly bank reconciliations for allocated accounts
• Maintaining trust accounts and assisting with end-of-month billings
• Managing the Finance help desk and responding to queries from internal stakeholders
