With a substantial fleet of trucks and trailers, we support Australia's largest customers across the construction, quarrying, concrete and civil infrastructure sectors. Our business combines bulk transport services with an extensive quarry and material supply network.
We are seeking an experienced Finance & Administration Manager to take ownership of our day-to-day finance function and oversee office administration.
This is a hands‑on role for someone with strong accounting and bookkeeping knowledge, practical Oracle NetSuite experience, and the confidence to keep financial processes accurate, organised and on schedule. You will work closely with management and our external accountants, providing reliable financial information and helping improve how the business operates.
About the role
You will oversee the key financial and administrative functions that support our national operations, balancing supervision and coordination with practical involvement in the work.
Your responsibilities will include:

- Payroll oversight: Ensuring payroll is processed accurately and on time, with appropriate checks and associated reporting completed.
- Accounts payable and receivable: Overseeing invoicing, supplier payments, debtor follow-up and the timely resolution of discrepancies.
- Reconciliations and controls: Completing and reviewing bank, credit card and general ledger reconciliations, and maintaining sound financial controls.
- Cash flow: Monitoring cash balances, upcoming commitments and overdue accounts, and keeping management informed.
- Fleet and fixed assets: Maintaining the asset register, recording purchases and disposals, and coordinating depreciation schedules with our external accountants.
- Tax and year-end support: Preparing and coordinating information for BAS, tax reporting and year-end accounts.
- Office administration: Coordinating administrative priorities, maintaining organised records and supporting the wider team.
- Process improvement: Identifying errors, resolving issues and improving financial systems, reporting and administrative processes.
About you

- Strong Excel skills and confidence working with financial data.
- Excellent attention to detail, organisation and time management.
- Sound judgement and discretion when handling confidential financial and employee information.
- Experience in transport, logistics, construction or another business with a substantial fleet or equipment base would be highly regarded.
- Relevant accounting or bookkeeping qualifications are desirable.
