Job summary

Spencer Civil And Earthworks, based in South Brisbane, is recruiting a final trim GPS excavator operator to join our civil construction team. The role covers communication with the crew, following Trimble GPS models, reading site plans, and performing daily pre-start checks on plant and machinery.

We seek a candidate with at least 4 years of excavator operator experience, GPS familiarity (training offered), a White Card, and reliable, proactive work ethic.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years excavator operator experience.
• GPS experience - willing to train the right person.
• Current RII's for Excavator and Construction Induction Card (White Card).
• Punctual, reliable & show initiative.
• Take pride in your work and machine.
• Current HR licence is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with team members, clients, subcontractors and suppliers.
• Follow Trimble GPS models accurately.
• Read standard site plans.
• Conduct daily pre-start checklists of plant and machinery before use.
• All aspects of civil works including bulk & detail earthworks, pipe laying, site clearing & trimming.
• Work as part of a team and also independently.
• Work ute supplied after probation.

We are a medium sized construction company based in South Brisbane specialising in civil earthworks and drainage. We have a fleet of new model excavators, graders, dozers, posi tracks and trucks. Established in 2022, we have had the opportunity to work at a range of civil sites across South East Queensland and Interstate. Fortunately we have lots of exciting upcoming work so are looking to expand the team. We are searching for a final trim GPS excavator operator to join us, but we always open to applications for any job role within civil construction.

About The Role
