Job summary

Randstad is seeking a Final Trim Excavator Operator to work across Brisbane and Ipswich with a safety-focused team and well-maintained equipment.

You will perform detailed final trim works, operate GPS-controlled machinery, and read plans and site instructions accurately. A minimum of two years' experience and an excavator ticket (VOC) are required; immediate start available.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years' experience in final trim or detailed excavation.
• Familiarity with Topcon or similar GPS systems.
• Ability to read plans, levels and site instructions accurately.

Responsibilities

• Complete final trim excavation works to required levels and specs.
• Use Topcon or similar GPS machine-control systems.
• Read plans, levels and site instructions accurately.
• Operate excavators safely around personnel and machinery.
• Perform daily pre-start checks, logbooks and plant documentation.
• Refuel, grease and perform basic maintenance on equipment.
• Keep machinery clean and in good working condition.
• Collaborate with supervisors and crews to meet daily targets.
• Follow WHS and environmental procedures.

Job Description

Randstad is seeking an experienced Final Trim Excavator Operator to work across multiple sites throughout Brisbane and Ipswich. This opportunity is ideal for a confident operator with strong final trim experience and a high level of accuracy. You will be joining a safety-focused team and operating quality, well-maintained equipment across active site environments. What's on offer:

• Monday to Friday: 6:00am-5:00pm
• Occasional Saturdays: 6:00am-12:00pm

Your responsibilities will include:

• Completing detailed final trim excavation works to required levels and specifications
• Using Topcon or similar GPS machine-control systems
• Reading plans, levels and site instructions accurately
• Operating excavators safely and efficiently around personnel and other machinery
• Completing daily pre-start checks, logbooks and plant documentation
• Refuelling, greasing and performing basic operator maintenance
• Keeping machinery clean and in good working condition
• Working closely with supervisors and site crews to achieve daily production targets
• Following all WHS and environmental procedures

To be successful, you will need:

• A minimum of two years' experience in final trim or detailed excavation
• Previous experience using Topcon or a similar GPS system
• Strong knowledge of levels, grades and precision earthworks
• A relevant excavator ticket or Verification of Competency
