Job summary

Western Downs Civil is seeking an Experienced Final Trim Grader Operator for on-site civil works in Queensland. The role demands precise final trim grading for pad construction and earthworks, with strict adherence to design levels and tolerances.

You will read plans, utilise GPS/UTS data, and operate GPS-enabled graders. A minimum of 3 years’ grading experience, a Construction White Card, a current driver’s licence and an RII Grader Ticket are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience operating a grader in civil construction.
• RII Grader Ticket is required to operate on site equipment.
• Construction White Card and a current driver’s licence are mandatory.
• Experience using Trimble GPS is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Final Trim Grading – perform precise grading to design specs with millimetre accuracy.
• Read and interpret construction drawings, GPS/UTS data, and design specs.
• Operate graders with GPS and UTS guidance systems.
• Maintain safety and comply with engineering standards and regulations.
• Work to tight tolerances to ensure quality outcomes.

Job Description

We’re looking for an Experienced Final Trim Grader Operator to join our growing team. This role requires a high level of precision and skill in final trim grading, working on pad construction and earthworks sites.

Key Responsibilities

• Final Trim Grading – Perform precise grading to design specifications, achieving correct levels, tolerances, and smooth finish
• Reading & Interpreting Plans – Work from construction drawings, GPS/UTS data, and design specifications
• GPS & UTS Machine Control – Operate modern graders with GPS and UTS guidance systems
• Working to Tight Tolerances – Achieve millimeter-accurate grading, ensuring quality and compliance with engineering standards
• Safety & Compliance – Maintain a safe work environment, adhering to company and industry regulations
