Job summary

Eastern Guruma Pty Ltd is a civil and mining contractor based in Western Australia. We are seeking a hands-on Training & Competency Specialist to deliver and assess training, maintain records and drive safety and learning culture across projects.

You will manage training plans, coordinate VOCs, ensure compliance and work with site teams to uplift workforce capability. FIFO roster from Perth, 8:6 family-friendly scheduling.

Qualifications

• Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40122 or equivalent).
• Experience delivering training and conducting assessments in mining, civil construction or similar environments.
• Strong knowledge of competency assessments, VOCs and training compliance.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail, especially training records and compliance.
• Ability to work with site teams and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Deliver and assess training in line with training packages, standards and site requirements.
• Conduct workplace assessments and verify employee competency on site.
• Develop and maintain training plans, materials and records.
• Identify training gaps and coordinate development opportunities to improve capability.
• Support inductions, refresher training, VOCs and skills development.
• Ensure training activities comply with legislation, standards and client requirements.
• Maintain training records, licences and documentation.
