Job summary

ISS Integrated Serv P/L is seeking a Head Chef for a FIFO role based in Queensland. You will oversee breakfast, crib, and dinner service in a remote mining village, upholding food quality, safety, and HACCP standards.

Requirements include extensive Head Chef experience, a Commercial Cookery Certificate 3 or higher, and the ability to work the 8:6 roster. FIFO site, Australian rights to work, and pre-employment checks are essential.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in high-volume catering, including bulk meals and banquet or function service.

The opportunity:

We're hiring FIFO (Fly In / Fly Out) Head Chefs from Brisbane and nearby suburbs on a 8:6 roster for Fulltime Employment.

Working closely with the Village Management team, you'll be responsible for delivering high-quality meals across Breakfast, Crib, and Dinner—while proudly upholding ISS’s reputation for excellence and creating memorable dining experiences that exceed expectations.

To be considered:

• Experience as a Head Chef in a commercial kitchen (essential).


• Must have Australian Trade Qualification of Commercial Cookery Certificate 3 or higher

• Experience in mining village operations (Desirable)


• Must have with a strong ability to meet client expectations for food quality, presentation, and strict adherence to food safety and HACCP standards.


• Unrestricted work rights in Australia


• Must have a valid police check issued within the last 12 months or be willing to obtain one.


• Must pass a Pre‑employment Medical Test, Functional Assessment and Drug and Alcohol Screen.


• Driver's License/ Photo ID required


• Demonstrate a proactive, solutions-focused approach with excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills to ensure smooth operations.
