Job summary

ISS is hiring a FIFO Head Chef from Brisbane and nearby suburbs on an 8:6 roster for full-time employment. You will work closely with the Village Management team to provide breakfast, crib, and dinner meals, upholding ISS's standards of excellence in a remote setting.

On-site perks include meals, accommodation, uniforms, and boots, with ongoing training and health support. The role requires an Australian Trade Qualification in Commercial Cookery and a strong commitment to food safety and client

Qualifications

• Experience as Head Chef in a commercial kitchen (essential).
• Proven ability in high-volume catering and bulk meal service.
• Must have Australian Trade Qualification of Commercial Cookery Certificate 3 or higher.
• Strong adherence to food safety and HACCP standards.

We're hiring FIFO (Fly In / Fly Out) Head Chefs from Brisbane and nearby suburbs on a 8:6 roster for Fulltime Employment.

Working closely with the Village Management team, you'll be responsible for delivering high-quality meals across Breakfast, Crib, and Dinner—while proudly upholding ISS’s reputation for excellence and creating memorable dining experiences that exceed expectations.

• Competitive Annual Wage – $110,000 - $120,000 plus super

To be considered:

• Experience as a Head Chef in a commercial kitchen (essential).


• Must have Australian Trade Qualification of Commercial Cookery Certificate 3 or higher


• Proven experience as a chef in high-volume catering, including bulk meals and banquet or function service.


• Experience in mining village operations (Desirable)


• Must have with a strong ability to meet client expectations for food quality, presentation, and strict adherence to food safety and HACCP standards.


• Unrestricted work rights in Australia


• Must have a valid police check issued within the last 12 months or be willing to obtain one.


• Must pass a Pre‑employment Medical Test, Functional Assessment and Drug and Alcohol Screen.


• Driver's License/ Photo ID required


• Demonstrate a proactive, solutions-focused approach with excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills to ensure smooth operations.
